Day 1 - Begin Leadership

Arrive at the Evolve Tours Leadership Centre. There we will practice basic skills such as paddling, portaging, meal preparation, camp set-up,  fire building, wilderness survival, and more! Pack equipment and supplies for your excursion and prepare for departure!

Days 2 - 5 - The Great Outdoors

Depart on your overnight Canoe Expedition. Canoes, lifejackets, rescue equipment and guides are provided. Arrive at campsite and set up camp. Students will help prepare all meals.

We will travel an average of 10-15km per day. Our group will paddle lakes, rivers and streams and will portage (carry boats and equipment between the various bodies of water) in between. Every participant will help carry the equipment and will need to rely on the strength of the group and team work in order to complete the treks. We will have nightly campsite and evening activities in the great outdoors as well

Algonquin was established in 1893, not to stop logging but to establish a wildlife sanctuary. By excluding agriculture, protection was given to the headwaters of the five major rivers which flow from the Park.
