Day 1 - Fly to Austria
Board your overnight flight to Austria.
Days 2 - 3 - Vienna
See the Opera House, Stephen’s Cathedral and Vienna’s many highlights. Visit the grand Hofburg Palace and the grounds of the Schönbrunn Palace. Free time on famed shopping street, Kärntnerstrasse. Evening activities include learning the Viennese waltz and local delicacies like wiener schnitzel, goulash, and more!
Day 4 - Salzburg to Munich
Get a sense of Salzburg with a walking tour through the baroque architecture of Old Town and a visit to Mozart’s birthplace. This city was the backdrop for the Sound of Music. Enjoy some free time before traveling to Munich.
Day 5 - Munich
Munich: Olympic Stadium, former royal palace Residenz, and Marienplatz . Visit the town of Dachau, and tour Dachau Concentration Camp to gain scope into the harsh and tragic realities of WWII and the Holocaust. Visit the Frauenkirche church, Neues Rathaus – the New Town Hall – and the brewery Hofbräuhaus.
Day 6 - Neuschwanstein to Tyrol
Visit Neuschwanstein Castle. Originally built for the reclusive Ludwig II of Bavaria, it was opened to visitors shortly after his death in 1886. Travel to the Tyrol region in Austria.
Day 7 - Liechtenstein to Lucerne
En route to Lucerne, stop in the tiny but wealthy country of Liechtenstein. Travel onwards to the Lucerne region.
Day 8 - Lucerne
Tour Lucerne: Walk the Chapel Bridge, constructed in the 14th century, and make an excursion to Mount Pilatus if you choose. Have an evening filled with traditional customs, from fondue to yodeling!
Day 9 - Heidelberg
Travel via the Rhine Falls and the Black Forest to Heidelberg, Germany. Take a tour and visit the Heidelberg Tun, a humongous wine vat located within the Heidelberg Castle. Enjoy a farewell feast and activities tonight.
Day 10 - Homeward Bound
Board our group flight home after an amazing trip to Europe.
