Day 1 - Travel to Scandinavia
Overnight flight to Copenhagen, Denmark.
Day 2 - Explore Copenhagen
Welcome to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. Walking tour of Vesterbro, a young and hip neighbourhood. Travel back in time to the 1600’s with a visit to Rosenborg Castle. Originally built as a country summerhouse, explore the scenic grounds, ancient architecture and rich history it has to offer.
Day 3 - Copenhagen, Overnight Ferry to Oslo
Head out into Copenhagen on a bike tour! See the highlights of the city along the city’s network of bike lanes. Visit the National Museum and experience Danish history come to life. To Tivoli Gardens next to have some leisure time exploring the flora & fauna. Afternoon overnight ferry to Oslo.
Day 4 - Welcome to Oslo, Norway
Head straight to Vigeland Sculpture Park, exhibiting 80 acres of urban green space and over 200 statues. Head to Aker Brygge for lunch and leisure time. Afternoon visit to Holmenkollbakken, Oslo’s famous ski jump. Visit the ski museum and enjoy a lookout point atop the jump! Evening live musical performance.
Day 5 - Oslo Touring
Explore the unique Viking history of Scandinavia with a visit to the Viking Ship Museum. See Viking artifacts and ships, including the famous Oseberg ship. Embark on an urban hike along Akerselva River, exploring urban green space and the development of the city.
Day 6 - Oslo - Stockholm
Visit to one of the United World College universities located just outside of Oslo. Break up our drive with a visit to Orebo Castle and the surrounding lake and a stroll through the town. In the evening, we head up to Monteliusvägen to get an amazing lookout over the city.
Day 7 - Viking Day Trip
Today we will journey north into Viking country and have a guided tour of the surrounding areas for the day. As we drive through the scenic Swedish countryside, an expert history guide will explain Sweden’s riveting Viking and medieval eras.
Day 8 - Stockholm city touring
City tour: see city hall, the Royal Palace, and Nobelmuseet. Stockholm’s open air museum to explore traditional buildings, animals, and costumes that come from Sweden. Leisure time in Stockholm’s Old Town. Participate in fun team building exercise solving clues and at Questroom.
Day 9 - Stockholm, Ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki
Enjoy a final morning exploring Stockholm. In the afternoon, we’ll hop on board a ferry to take an overnight journey to Helsinki, crossing the Gulf of Bothnia, an arm of the Baltic Sea.
Day 10 - Finnish Exploration
Visit the Fortress of Suomenlinna, an 18th century royal residence and UNESCO World Heritage site. Climb into the Vesikko submarine from WWII. Check out the Finnish Museum of Natural History, with a guided tour amongst dinosaur skeletons and taxidermed animals. Evening Scandinavian cooking class.
Day 11 - Homeward Bound
Say goodbye to Scandinavia after an amazing trip together.
