Day 1 - Travel to Paris
Board an overnight flight to Paris
Day 2 - Bienvenue à Paris!
In the afternoon there will be time for a tour of Paris including a Latin Quarter visit, Ile de Cité and Notre Dame Cathedral. Then, it’s off to the Musee d’Orsay, built in 1900 as a train station and is now one of Paris’ finest museums. Return to the hotel to freshen up and then head out for a welcome dinner. Catch an evening jazz show or other performance.
Day 3 - Eiffel Tower, Louvre, & More
Visit the most famous sight in all of Paris: the Eiffel Tower. Enjoy lookout points overlooking all of Paris. Other highlights of the morning include a close look at the Arc de Triomphe. Afterwards we will commute over to the Louvre where we will take a tour of the most famous museum in the world. Have time to browse along the Rue de Rivoli in the little shops and boutiques for shopping and exploring.
Day 4 - City Art Exploration
Visit the Musee d’Art et d’Histoire du Judaisme. Head out on a walking tour to see hidden gems of Paris. In the afternoon, explore Le Jardin des Tuileries, stroll the Avenue des Champs Élysées, and visit Place de la Concorde.
Day 5 - Montmartre
Visit the Bohemian area of Montmartre. Climb the steps or take the funicular up to the white Basilica of Sacre Coeur. Just below, artists still set up their easels each day amidst the tables and colorful umbrellas of Place du Tertre. After dinner, enjoy a play or musical performance.
Day 6 - Versailles
The Chateau of Versailles is one of the most important tourist destinations in France. Discover more about the location of the climax of the French Revolution, steeped in culture and history. Once a former royal residence, it is now a museum and the location of official functions hosted by the French Republic. See royal living quarters including the boudoir of Marie Antoinette and the Hall of Mirrors. Students will be guided through the former capital of the kingdom of France to explore the remains of its royal past. Free time for shopping and exploring.
Day 7 - Homeward Bound
