On Evolve PR, we immerse travelers in the U.S. territory. We will practice our
español, participate in sport workshops and tournaments and see historical sites – all with the backdrop of gorgeous sandy beaches and the Caribbean Ocean.
Sports teams get to stay right at the Albergue Olímpico training center. Non-sports teams will always be near the beach.

Day 1 - Travel to Puerto Rico
Transfer to Albergue Olimpico, which is the Olympic Training Centre for the Island of Puerto Rico. The center features two areas for basketball, including the Polivalente Pavilion which has a capacity for 1,500 viewers! This court was designed for the sport of basketball and features a wooden surface. The other court known as Poli is made with synthetic materials and provides space for the use of one principal court and two lateral courts at the same time. It has a total of 6 basketball hoops. The court has a sound system, electronic board and two removable bleachers. The building also has an interior track in the second floor for jogging or waking too!
Day 2 - Tour San Juan
Participate in our first full practice in Puerto Rico in the morning. Next we’ll tour San Juan, including a stop at El Morro, a fort that was then constructed to defend the San Juan. Visit Old San Juan, which consists of 400 restored buildings from the 16th- and 17th-century Spanish colonial period.
Day 3 - Basketball
After breakfast we will participate in a light workout. Then after lunch we will participate in our first game against local competition! To celebrate we will hit the pool at the facility before dinner and some evening activities.
Day 4 - Beach
Today we’ll reward ourselves with a full day of relaxation at one of Puerto Rico’s beautiful beaches! The beach is warm, clean and beautiful. We will eat lunch at a beach-side restaurant, and then continue with our day excursion and relaxation. There will be an opportunity to rent snorkeling gear there, or participate in other beach activities!
Day 5 - Service
Today we will participate in a community service project. We will work with a local community (i.e. church, orphanage, primary school) and will help in a project that requires some extra hands. Use the opportunity to make some new, local friends in Puerto Rico. In the afternoon, we will participate in our second game of our trip against local competition.
Day 6 - Competition
On day 6, we will be spending the whole day participating in a mini tournament against local competition. Celebrate after!
Day 7 - Excursion
With our games behind us, we will head out to a local beach where we will try out hands at surfing. Over the first hour, we will spend some time learning the techniques of surfing on the beach before we head into the water for lessons. We will also have time to purchase Puerto Rican crafts and gifts for friends and family back home!
Day 8 - Homeward Bound
We will wake up early and head to the airport today, excited to tell our friends all about our trip when we’re back home.
