  • Day 1: Arrival in Athens – Welcome to the Birthplace of Democracy

    We arrive in Athens, a city that has been at the heart of Western civilization for over 2,500 years. After checking in, we take a guided walking tour through the historic Plaka district, known for its narrow streets, neoclassical houses, and vibrant atmosphere. We stop at Monastiraki Square, where ancient ruins stand beside bustling markets filled with handmade crafts, local sweets, and traditional Greek goods. In the evening, we enjoy a welcome dinner at a traditional taverna, where we sample souvlaki, tzatziki, dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), and freshly baked pita bread. As we dine under the illuminated Acropolis, we discuss the adventures that await us in this extraordinary land of myth and history.

  • Day 2: The Acropolis & Ancient Athens

    Today, we step back in time as we ascend the Acropolis, one of the most famous landmarks in the world. A guided tour takes us through its iconic ruins, including the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, and the Temple of Athena Nike. We learn about Greek architecture, democracy, and the legends surrounding these sacred sites. Next, we visit the Acropolis Museum, where we marvel at ancient sculptures, friezes, and artifacts that tell the story of Athens' Golden Age. In the afternoon, we explore the Ancient Agora, once the center of Athenian public life, where philosophers like Socrates and Plato debated ideas that shaped modern thinking.   • Day 3: Delphi – The Oracle of Apollo

    We take a scenic drive through the Greek countryside to Delphi, once considered the center of the world in ancient Greek mythology. Upon arrival, we visit the Temple of Apollo, where the famous Oracle of Delphi once gave prophecies to kings and warriors. A guided tour leads us through the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia and the ancient theater, offering spectacular views of Mount Parnassus.   • Day 4: Travel to the Peloponnese – Corinth & Mycenae

    Leaving Athens behind, we cross the Corinth Canal, a spectacular engineering feat that connects the Aegean and Ionian Seas. Our first stop is Ancient Corinth, where we explore the Temple of Apollo and the ruins of one of Greece’s most powerful city-states. We continue to Mycenae, the legendary kingdom of King Agamemnon, who led the Greeks in the Trojan War. A guided tour takes us through the Lion’s Gate, the Treasury of Atreus (a massive beehive tomb), and the ruins of the Mycenaean palace, offering a glimpse into Greece’s Bronze Age past. Standing in its grand amphitheater, we test the remarkable sound projection, learning about the importance of drama and performance in Greek society. Our journey then takes us to Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. A guided tour leads us through the ancient stadium, training grounds, and the Temple of Zeus, once home to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World—the massive statue of Zeus crafted by Phidias. At the Olympia Archaeological Museum, we admire statues, sculptures, and Olympic relics that tell the story of the world’s first athletes. In the evening, we relax in a nearby village, enjoying fresh Mediterranean cuisine and stunning mountain views.

  • Day 6: Island Adventure – Ferry to Santorini

    We say goodbye to the mainland as we board a ferry to Santorini, one of Greece’s most breathtaking and romantic islands. As we arrive, we are greeted by whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches, and dramatic cliffs overlooking the Aegean Sea. We check into our accommodations in Fira, then take a guided hike along the caldera, stopping at scenic viewpoints to capture the island’s famous sunset. Dinner is served at a cliffside restaurant, where we enjoy grilled seafood, fava bean dip, and local Santorini wine, as the sun dips below the horizon.

  • Day 7: Santorini – Volcanic Landscapes & Ancient Akrotiri

    Today, we explore Santorini’s volcanic origins, taking a boat excursion to Nea Kameni, an uninhabited island formed by volcanic activity. We hike to the crater’s summit, learning about the geological forces that shaped Santorini’s dramatic landscape. In the afternoon, we visit Akrotiri, an ancient Minoan settlement buried under volcanic ash for thousands of years, often called “Greece’s Pompeii”. We see remarkably preserved frescoes, pottery, and advanced urban structures from this Bronze Age civilization. After some relaxation at Red Beach, we return to Oia, the island’s most famous village, for one last spectacular sunset experience.

  • Day 8: Travel to Crete – Land of Myths & Legends

    A morning ferry takes us to Crete, Greece’s largest island and home to the legend of the Minotaur. Our first stop is Knossos Palace, the Minoan civilization’s grandest archaeological site, where we learn about the myths of King Minos and the labyrinth. In the afternoon, we explore Heraklion’s vibrant market scene, sampling local cheeses, honey, olives, and traditional Cretan pastries. We enjoy a traditional Cretan dinner, featuring dakos (barley rusk with tomatoes and feta), slow-cooked lamb, and raki, a local spirit.

  • Day 9: Relaxation in Crete – Beach & Cultural Experience

    Our final day in Greece is all about relaxation and cultural immersion. We visit one of Crete’s stunning beaches, Elafonissi or Balos Lagoon, where we swim in crystal-clear turquoise waters. In the afternoon, we visit a family-run olive farm, learning about olive oil production and traditional Greek farming practices. We conclude our adventure with a farewell dinner, reflecting on our incredible journey through Greece.

  • Day 10: Departure – Farewell to Greece
