  • Day 1: Arrival in Rome – The Eternal City

    We land in Rome, a city where ancient ruins, Baroque fountains, and modern energy intertwine. After checking into our accommodations, we begin with a guided walking tour of the city’s most iconic landmarks. We visit the Piazza Venezia, the bustling heart of Rome, before heading to the Trevi Fountain, where tossing a coin over our shoulder ensures our return to the city. From there, we stroll through the Piazza di Spagna, home to the famous Spanish Steps, a gathering place for artists and poets for centuries. The afternoon takes us to the Pantheon, one of the best-preserved monuments of ancient Rome, where we learn about its incredible dome and its transformation from a Roman temple to a Christian church. We end the day at Piazza Navona, surrounded by street artists and fountains, before indulging in our first taste of Italian cuisine—a traditional pasta carbonara or cacio e pepe, paired with freshly baked focaccia and creamy gelato. As we walk back through Rome’s lively streets, we take in the sights and sounds of a city that has stood for over 2,000 years.

  • Day 2: Ancient Rome – Colosseum & Roman Forum

    Today, we step back into the days of the Roman Empire, exploring the Colosseum, one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world. We learn about gladiator battles, epic spectacles, and Roman engineering as we walk through the underground tunnels and upper seating levels of this ancient amphitheater. Next, we explore the Roman Forum, once the center of political, social, and commercial life in Ancient Rome. As we stand among the ruins of temples, basilicas, and government buildings, we imagine what daily life was like for senators, merchants, and citizens during Rome’s height. After lunch, we climb Palatine Hill, one of Rome’s seven hills, and the legendary location where Romulus founded the city. From the top, we take in stunning views of the Forum and the Colosseum, gaining a deeper appreciation for the city’s rich history. The evening is free for exploration—some may choose to visit Trastevere, one of Rome’s most charming neighborhoods, where cobbled streets lead to hidden trattorias and lively piazzas. For dinner, we enjoy a traditional Italian meal, savoring freshly made pasta, bruschetta, and tiramisu as we reflect on the incredible history we've uncovered.

  • Day 3: Vatican City – The Heart of Catholicism

    Our journey takes us to Vatican City, the world’s smallest country and the spiritual center of the Catholic Church. We begin at St. Peter’s Basilica, a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture, where we admire Michelangelo’s Pietà and the grandeur of the dome. Next, we enter the Vatican Museums, home to one of the world’s most impressive art collections. A guided tour leads us through ornate galleries, ancient sculptures, and Renaissance frescoes, culminating in the breathtaking Sistine Chapel, where Michelangelo’s famed ceiling frescoes and The Last Judgment leave us in awe. After lunch, we explore Castel Sant’Angelo, a fortress-turned-papal-residence that offers panoramic views of the Tiber River and Rome’s historic skyline. The evening brings us to Campo de' Fiori, a lively square perfect for people-watching, shopping at artisan stalls, and tasting local delicacies like supplì (fried rice balls) and porchetta sandwiches.

  • Day 4: Travel to Florence – The Cradle of the Renaissance

    We take a high-speed train to Florence, arriving in the birthplace of the Renaissance, where art, history, and beauty fill every street. Our first stop is the Piazza del Duomo, home to the magnificent Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore), with its iconic red-tiled dome designed by Brunelleschi. Next, we visit the Galleria dell’Accademia, where we stand before Michelangelo’s David, one of the most celebrated sculptures in the world. After lunch, we explore Ponte Vecchio, Florence’s medieval bridge lined with goldsmith shops and historic boutiques. A hands-on leather workshop introduces us to one of Florence’s most famous crafts, where we learn about traditional techniques and the importance of leatherwork in the city’s history. For dinner, we enjoy bistecca alla Fiorentina (Florentine steak), handmade pici pasta, and local Chianti wine, soaking in the elegant charm of Florence’s evening atmosphere.

  • Day 5: Tuscany – Vineyards & Medieval Villages

    A scenic drive through Tuscany’s rolling hills takes us to San Gimignano, a medieval town known for its towering stone structures and incredible views of the countryside. We walk through its cobbled streets, stopping to taste gelato from an award-winning local gelateria. Next, we visit a family-run vineyard, where we take part in a wine-tasting session, sampling Chianti Classico and Tuscan reds, while learning about the winemaking process and the region’s rich agricultural traditions. Lunch is a farm-to-table experience, featuring homemade pasta, local cheeses, truffle-infused dishes, and freshly pressed olive oil. The afternoon is spent in Siena, where we explore its famous shell-shaped Piazza del Campo, home to the Palio horse race, and visit Siena Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece with intricate marble inlays. We return to Florence for an evening of relaxation or a leisurely stroll along the Arno River, soaking in the Tuscan magic.

  • Day 6: Venice – The Floating City

    We board a train to Venice, the legendary city of canals. Upon arrival, we take a vaporetto (water taxi) along the Grand Canal, admiring Venetian palaces and bustling waterways. Our first stop is Piazza San Marco, home to St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, and the iconic Bell Tower. A guided tour takes us through the Doge’s former residence, secret passages, and the infamous Bridge of Sighs, which once led prisoners to their fate. A highlight of the day is a gondola ride, where we glide through Venice’s quiet canals, experiencing the city's unique charm from the water. Dinner features Venetian seafood specialties, such as squid ink pasta and creamy risotto al nero di seppia, as we toast to our last night in Italy.

  • Day 7: Murano & Burano – Venetian Artisan Traditions

    A boat ride takes us to Murano, famous for its centuries-old glassmaking tradition. We visit a glassblowing workshop, where artisans demonstrate how they craft intricate glass pieces. Next, we explore Burano, a picturesque island known for its colorful houses and delicate lace-making tradition. We learn about handmade lace craftsmanship, a tradition passed down through generations. After a farewell lunch by the waterfront, we return to Venice for free time, whether it's exploring hidden alleyways or enjoying a final sunset by the canals.

  • Day 8: Departure – Arrivederci, Italia

    Our time in Italy has been filled with extraordinary art, unforgettable meals, and timeless history. As we say goodbye, we carry with us memories of the Colosseum, the rolling Tuscan hills, the canals of Venice, and the magic of Italy’s culture and traditions. Arrivederci, Italia!
