Itinerary
Day 1: March 27, 2024
10:00am: A deluxe 56-passenger coach will gracefully arrive at Waterloo C.I., ready for loading.
10:30am: All aboard the coach as we set off for Toronto, embarking on a journey of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes (allowing for potential traffic and a leisurely lunch break).
1:00pm: We arrive at the iconic Princess of Wales Theatre. Your group leader will hand out tickets before guiding you to your designated seats.
1:30pm: The enchanting spectacle of Les Misérables (or a comparable show) commences!
4:30pm: After the breathtaking performance, we’ll either depart via coach or take a chaperoned stroll to our dining destination at the Old Spaghetti Factory (or a similar restaurant).
5:00pm: Indulge in a delightful group dinner, savoring the flavors of the evening.
7:00pm: A short coach ride or another chaperoned walk brings us to Roy Thompson Hall for a mesmerizing evening at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (1.2 km / 17-minute walk).
7:20pm: Arrive at the venue and settle into your seats for the captivating performance.
8:00pm: Immerse yourself in the resounding melodies as the Sibelius Symphony no. 2 (or an equivalent piece) commences!
9:30pm: After the stellar performance, reunite with your coach for a journey back to the Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Airport.
10:00pm: Arrive at the hotel and check-in for a restful night’s stay. =
Day 2: March 28, 2024
7:00am: Wake up to a delightful breakfast provided at the hotel before preparing for check-out.
8:00am: Load your luggage and instruments onto the coach as we gear up for the day’s activities.
8:15am: Embark on the coach for your scheduled clinics at either the University of Toronto or Roy Thompson Hall (final confirmation pending).
9:00am: Arrive and set up for an engaging orchestral clinic presented by esteemed clinicians from the University of Toronto or the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (final arrangements pending).
11:00am: Transition into Waterloo C.I.’s vocal clinic, guided by knowledgeable clinicians from the University of Toronto or the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (final arrangements pending).
12:30pm: Conclude the clinics and convene to load up instruments before our next adventure.
1:00pm: Journey to the Toronto Eaton Centre for a lunch break (at your own expense) and an opportunity to explore in chaperoned groups.
2:20pm: Meet up and embark on a guided walk to the Elgin and Wintergarden Theatres, located just 130 meters away.
2:30pm: Delight in a guided tour of the illustrious Elgin and Wintergarden Theatres (or a similar captivating venue).
4:00pm: As the day winds down, board the coach for our return trip home, allowing approximately 1 hour 30 minutes for travel time (with allowances for potential traffic).
6:30pm: Welcome Home!
