Itinerary
Day 1: March 5, 2025
Welcome to Costa Rica! Your journey begins at Toronto Pearson International Airport, where you’ll meet your Evolve guide. You’ll depart for Juan Santa María International Airport in San Jose and arrive at 8:55 PM. Your guide will be waiting to take you to your accommodations for the evening at Hotel Bristol in Alajuela.
Day 2: March 6, 2025
After a group breakfast, you’ll embark on a journey to Rancho Mastatal. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch and participate in an orientation of the ranch and the town. Later in the day, savor dinner and settle in for the evening.
Day 3: March 7, 2025
Start your day with a group breakfast and a tour of Rancho Mastatal, where you’ll be introduced to the principles of permaculture. You’ll then engage in an educational module on natural building, where sustainable structures are designed and built to minimize environmental impact. Afterward, take part in some recreational activities like yoga, soccer, volleyball, ultimate, or simply enjoy free time before dinner as a group.
Day 4: March 8, 2024
Begin the day with a group breakfast and set off on a hike to a stunning waterfall, exploring the vast hiking trails around the ranch. Your educational module today focuses on fermentation, where you’ll learn traditional and innovative methods of food preparation, including hands-on participation. Wrap up the day with a group dinner.
Day 5: March 9, 2025
Enjoy breakfast as a group, followed by open time for an activity of your choice. Dive into an educational module on permaculture, where you’ll practice sustainable land use and integration with the environment. In the afternoon, engage with the local community or stay active within it.
Participate in Yoga Activity at the Ranch in the most serene setting.
Cap off the day with a group dinner.
Day 6: March 10, 2025
After a group breakfast, embark on a trip to the river, passing through La Cangrega National Park, where you might spot fascinating wildlife. Later, visit Iguana Chocolate to learn the chocolate-making process and savor the delicious results. Conclude the day with a group dinner.
Day 7: March 11, 2025
Start with breakfast as a group and engage in open projects, such as working with the local community or animals on the ranch. Your educational module today focuses on soapmaking, teaching you about basic soap chemistry and the art of crafting your own soap with locally sourced materials. Enjoy an early dinner as a group before transferring back to San Jose for your overnight stay at Hotel Bristol in Alajuela.
Stop in Jaco on our way to San Jose to enjoy some beach time.
Day 8: March 12, 2025
It’s time to return home. Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a private bus ride to the airport. Board your flight back home, and by 4:00 PM, you’ll have arrived back home, concluding your unforgettable Costa Rican adventure.
