Itinerary
Day 1: May 17, 2025
Puerto Rico Bound
Upon arrival in San Juan, Puerto Rico, you’ll be greeted by warm tropical breezes and the vibrant energy of the island.
After checking into our hotel and getting settled we will meet up with our tour guide and head out to explore and get acquainted with the area.
In the evening we will head out as a group and dine at a traditional Puerto Rican restaurant, savoring the flavors of the island and immersing ourselves in its culinary delights.
Day 2: May 18, 2025
Puerto Rico
Today begins with a tour of old San Juan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site steeped in history and charm. Our adventure through the cobblestone streets will take us past iconic landmarks such as El Morro, a historic fortress that offers panoramic views of the sea, and La Fortaleza, the oldest executive mansion in continuous use in the Americas.
We will continue to explore San Jose Church, one of the oldest churches in the Western Hemisphere, and the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista, a stunning example of Spanish colonial architecture.
For lunch today we will visit one of the most popular spots for a delicious local meal.
After lunch we will continue exploring the city through the streat art scene. We will connect with a local streat artist who will show us the city through art.
Tonight we will be cooking and making our own food as we participate in a hands-on culinary experience. Under the guidance of a local chef, you’ll learn to prepare traditional dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, gaining insight into the flavors and techniques that define Puerto Rican cuisine.
After cooking up a storm in the kitchen, it’s time to hit the dance floor for a lively Puerto Rican dance class. Learn the steps of salsa, merengue, and bomba as you move to the infectious rhythms of Caribbean music, immersing yourself in the vibrant culture of Puerto Rico.
Day 3: March 19, 2024
El Yunque National Forest > San Juan
Today we will prepare ourselves for a day of adventure as we journey into the heart of El Yunque National Forest, the only tropical rainforest in the United States National Forest System.
Here, we will participate on a guided hike through lush greenery, passing by cascading waterfalls, sparkling streams, and towering trees draped in moss. Keep an eye out for colorful birds and other wildlife as you explore this natural wonderland.
After our hike, we will cool off with a refreshing swim in one of the forest’s natural pools before returning to San Juan in the early evening.

Day 4: March 20, 2024
Puerto Rico
Today, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Puerto Rico’s fascinating underground world with a visit to one of its spectacular caves. Choose between the awe-inspiring Camuy Caverns, a vast underground network of limestone caverns carved by the Camuy River, or the breathtaking Cueva Ventana, known for its stunning views of the surrounding valley. Whichever option you choose, you’re sure to be amazed by the natural beauty and geological wonders of these unique attractions. After our caving adventure we will return to San Juan and enjoy an evening of relaxation or exploration in the city.
Day 5: March 21, 2024
San Juan > Ponce
Today we will head out on a day trip to Ponce, a picturesque city located on the southern coast of Puerto Rico. Known as the “Pearl of the South,” Ponce is renowned for its colonial architecture, vibrant cultural scene, and rich history.
During our visit, we will have the opportunity to explore landmarks such as Plaza Las Delicias, a charming square surrounded by historic buildings, and Ponce Cathedral, an imposing structure that dominates the city skyline. We will also have the chance to visit Parque de Bombas, a historic firehouse-turned-museum that serves as a symbol of Ponce’s resilience and spirit.
After a day of exploration, return to San Juan in the evening where we will have a group dinner.
Day 6: March 22, 2024
San Juan> Bioluminescent Bay
Today we will head out for a full day/night excursion. Our adventure will take us to Bioluminescent Bay, Mosquito Bay excursion to Mosquito Bay.
Here we will paddle through the glowing waters of the bay, marveling at the natural phenomenon of bioluminescence caused by microscopic organisms known as dinoflagellates. As we glide through the water, we will be surrounded by a shimmering blue-green glow that illuminates the darkness and creates a truly magical experience. After our adventure, we will return to San Juan and reflect on the wonders of the natural world.
Day 7: March 23, 2024
San Juan>Las Salinas
Today, we will head out to the southwestern coast of Puerto Rico to visit Las Salinas de Cabo Rojo, a stunning natural landscape known for its vibrant pink salt flats. Here, we will learn about the process of salt harvesting and the importance of this industry to the region’s economy and culture. We will take in the breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea as we explore the salt flats and enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful coastal area.
After your visit to Las Salinas de Cabo Rojo, return to San Juan and spend the evening relaxing or exploring more of the city as a group.
Day 8: March 24, 2024
Departure
Return home after an incredible experience in Puerto Rico.
