Itinerary
Day 1:
Our adventure begins as we gather at the airport and embark on our journey to Victoria International Airport. Upon arrival, we will be greeted by our enthusiastic Evolve Tour leader, who will accompany us throughout our time together.
We will embark on a comfortable private coach bus and travel to the ecolodge, our tranquil sanctuary for the duration of our stay. After settling in, we will have an orientation session, followed by a delightful group dinner. As the evening sets in, an engaging activity led by Evolve awaits us, providing the perfect way to wind down and prepare for a restful night.
Day 2-4:
Over the next couple of days, we will fully immerse ourselves in the eco-lodge experience, embracing the opportunity to become an integral part of the vibrant community. During the daytime, we will actively participate in various activities that revolve around permaculture and sustainable living. Depending on the season and weather conditions, these activities may include farming, where we will learn about animal care, milking, and collecting eggs. Additionally, we will delve into permaculture by engaging in tasks such as gardening, planting, seeding, weeding, harvesting, and composting. Furthermore, we will have the chance to explore natural building techniques using cobb, strawbale, and biofibre, as well as contribute to small building projects. The culinary enthusiasts among us will have the opportunity to enhance their kitchen skills through cooking, preparation, and kitchen crafting, including canning and preserving. Throughout our experience, we will also interact with the Learning Community, comprised of village residents, the co-op ownership group, teachers, facilitators, program coordinators, guest speakers, and participants from the ‘Natural Building Skillbuilder’ and ‘Sustainable Food Production Skillbuilder’ programs. Their expertise and insights will enrich our educational journey during our stay.
Day 5:
Following a nourishing breakfast, we will transfer to Victoria International Airport, where we will bid farewell to Vancouver Island. As we board our flight homeward, we carry with us cherished memories of an extraordinary trip filled with discovery and connection.
