After a morning here, we will return to the mainland by ferry and head back to Hiroshima.
Afternoon Arriving back in the city, we’ll enjoy lunch and then depart to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum.

After lunch, we’ll head to one of the most celebrated temples of Japan, Kiyomizu-dera. It was founded in 780 on the site of the Otowa Waterfall in the wooded hills just east of Kyoto, and derives its name from the fall’s pure waters. In 1994, the temple was designated as a world heritage site by UNESCO. Kiyomizudera is best known for its wooden look-out point that juts out from its main hall, 13 meters above the hillside below. From this view point, we will be able to see the magnificent cherry and maple trees, which are best seen in spring and fall.

Here we will have the opportunity to create an original and completely unique instant noodle cup from over 5,400 options of ingredients. We will even be able to customize the design of the cup itself and bring home our master creation to enjoy later. After we are done making our very own ramen cup, we will go to the Chicken Ramen Factory to make some noodles from scratch. We will work as a team to put all of the ingredients together and learn the process of the delicious food from the very beginning.

Day 10:
Kyoto
9:00 AM Start this morning with brilliant temple, Kinkakuji. Kinkakuji temple is a Zen temple in northern Kyoto whose top two floors are completely covered in gold leaf. Kinkakuji is an impressive structure built overlooking a large pond, and is the only building left from shogun Yoshimitsu. It has been burned down numerous times throughout its history including twice during the Onin War, a civil war that destroyed much of Kyoto; and once again more recently in 1950 when it was set on fire by a fanatic monk. The present structure was rebuilt in 1955. We will drop by a small tea garden outside the area. We will have a chance to enjoy a cup of real Japanese green tea.
Before we head to the restaurant for lunch, we continue with one of the most breathtaking Kyoto experiences, wandering through the Arashiyama Bamboo grove. We’ll walk along the paths through towering bamboo stalks that seem to continue on endlessly. Make sure to bring your camera too, as this is one of Kyoto’s most photographed locations for good reason.
Afternoon Continue on to one of Kyoto’s most impressive sights, the Fushimi-Inari-Taisha Shrine. This massive complex consists of five shrines and is spread across the wooded hills of Inari-San Mountain. This is the head shrine for approximately 40,000 Inari shrines that can be found across Japan. Take our time to explore the site, which was dedicated in the 8th century to the gods of rice and sake.
7:30 PM We’ll go to a local restaurant for dinner.
