Itinerary

Day 1:

Departure from Philadelphia

Travel: Depart from Philadelphia International Airport for Brussels.

Day 2:

Arrival in Brussels
  • Morning: Arrive in Brussels and transfer to your hotel.
  • Afternoon: Guided walking tour of Brussels’ iconic landmarks, including the Grand Place, Manneken Pis, and the Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert.
  • Evening: Group welcome dinner at a Belgian restaurant.

Day 3:

Explore Brussels

Morning: Visit the Atomium for a guided tour of this unique structure, followed by Mini-Europe Park to discover miniature versions of Europe’s most famous monuments.

Afternoon: Participate in a chocolate-making workshop where students learn the history and techniques of Belgian chocolate and create their own treats.

Evening: Dinner at the hotel and time for group reflection

Day 4:

Travel to Nancy and Begin Exchange Program

Morning: Group transfer by train or private coach from Brussels to Nancy.

Afternoon: Orientation at the host school, meet-and-greet with host families, and settling into homestay accommodations.

Evening: Dinner with host families and introduction to French culture.

Day 5:

Lunéville

Morning: Participate in exchange program activities with the host school.

Afternoon: Discover the Château de Lunéville, known as the “Versailles of Lorraine,” on a guided tour of its stunning architecture and gardens.

Participate in a local artisan workshop or cooking class to immerse yourself in the traditions of the Lorraine region.

Evening: Dinner with host families and cultural exchange.

Day 6:

Reims

Morning: Engage in educational and cultural activities organized by the host school.

Afternoon: Visit the historic Reims Cathedral and Palais du Tau, learning about their significance as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Tour a champagne house to learn about the production of this world-renowned beverage (non-alcoholic focus for students).

Evening: Dinner with host families and relaxation.

Day 7:

Vosges Mountains

Morning: Participate in your host school’s scheduled programming.

Afternoon: Take a scenic journey to the Vosges Mountains for an outdoor adventure.
