Day 1:  February 13, 2025

Travel

Depart from YYZ to  Accra- Ghana

Day 2:  February 14, 2025

GHANA

Arrive in the morning. Go through Customs and Immigration formalities

Meet and greet at the Airport with your Evolve Tours leader. Transfer to the hotel. Welcome refreshments and check-in. Orientation and Welcome Meeting, and money exchange. Meet with local dressmakers and tailors for local clothing. Afternoon visit to the WEB Dubois Memorial Center for Pan African History and Culture. Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3:  February 15, 2025

Accra

Morning Breakfast and City tour of Accra, the administrative capital of Ghana. Drive through the principal street of Accra and visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. Visit the Accra Arts Centre for handmade craft works ranging from wood, leather, etc. Optional Lunch and visit the Aburi Wood Carvers Village. Continue to visit the Center for Plant Medicine Research. Return to the Hotel.

Day 4:  February 16, 2025

Central Region

After breakfast, Depart Accra for Central Region, visit at Anthony Tay’s Village at Agona Nkum for a day with the school children, chiefs, and people of the village, depart Agona Nkum and check-in Elmina Beach Resort, Dinner on own.

Day 5:  February 17, 2025

Assin Manso

After breakfast. depart for Assin Manso (Last Bath) for a tour and solemn ceremony at the river of last bath.  Optional Lunch at Mabel’s Table Visit Elmina Dungeon built by the Portuguese in 1482. Lunch/Debrief at Mable’s Table. Return to Elmina Beach Resort, dinner on own.

Day 6:  February 18, 2025

Elmina Township

Morning tour of Elmina township (The first community to have had interactions with Europeans in the 15th Century) Visit Atonkwa community and tour the Gloria Pointer School, and interact with the community while students sit in class with their Ghanaian peers. Afternoon Naming ceremony. (Reception, including drumming, greeting from Family Heads, Lunch, and late afternoon return to the hotel. (Evening Dinner with Chiefs and Queen mothers (Pre-installation dinner and interactions) Discussions business opportunities, property rights and acquisitions, dual citizenships, etc.

Day 7:  February 19, 2025

Antonkwa + Kakum National Park

Morning visit to Atonkwa for the installation of Dr. Pointer as Queen Mother and Elder. Afternoon visit Kakum National Park for an adventurous walk on the 130 feet-suspended canopy walkway. Return to Hotel. Evening debriefs and overview meetings.

Day 8:  February 20, 2025

Accra

Check out Hotel and (Optional) visit Nana Kra Kwamena’s home at Komenda.

Return to Hotel in Accra, Collect clothing from local tailors and dressmakers,  and retire for the night.

Day 9:  February 21, 2025

Volta Lake

Early Morning departure for a boat cruise on the Volta Lake and a tour of the Akosombo Hydro-electric Dam. Check into hotel at Ho.

Day 10:  February 22, 2025

Wli Waterfalls > Return Home

After breakfast depart Ho to Wli Waterfalls and Afadjato, the tallest mountain in Ghana. After lunch, Return to Accra, via Tafi-Atome Monkey Sanctuary. Evening depart home.
