Toby Creek – A Traveller’s Paradise

An hour and a half drive from the Banff National Park, this adventurer's dream land is nothing short of a hidden gem. Toby Creek is known to Invermere locals as a backyard paradise, and it is precisely that. Toby Creek runs just off of the Panorama Ski Resort located in Canada's breathtaking Rocky Mountains. The creek is engulfed in skyscraping mountain peaks that could make just about anyone say "Wow". This magnificent location holds more than just an astonishing view however. The creek tucks away several fun-filled and adventurous attractions that make every trip back to the area a new and exciting adventure. The year-round outdoor activities span from snowshoeing and snowmobiling in the winter months through to horseback riding and hiking in the summer season.

So What can Toby Creek offer you?

For Adventurer:

This is the ideal place for backcountry skiing and snowboarding - or hop on over to Panorama mountain to ride some of the most famous Canadian lines.

For the Mountain Biker:

Mountain Biking Trails are numerous in the Toby Creek surrounding area. The scenic climbs and lengthy downhills provide for an unbelievable ride and an even more outstanding view.  

For the Day Hiker

If you're looking to become one with nature, a day-hike into the wilderness could not be a better way to spend your afternoon. Take a look at the recommended hikes in the area     Heading out in the Winter? Not to worry - grab some snowshoes or cross country skis and let the snowy peaks amaze you.  

For the Long Distance Hiker:

There are several Multi-Day hiking options in the Toby Creek Region. We recommend the Earl Grey Pass Trail to start out with a 61 km hike that will take you approximately 5 days.  

For the Fisherman

Head out between 6:00 am and 8:00 am for some prime time fishing. The area is not only gorgeous, breathtaking, and relaxing, but the fish are plentiful and make for a truly satisfying morning.

The area leads up to Paradise Peak - a true traveller's ultimate destination. Check it out by car, foot, mountain bike -- whatever mode of transportation you choose to get you to the top, it doesn't matter, so long as you don't skip out on this highlight of Toby Creek.
