Itinerary

Day 1:

Arrive in New York City!
4:00 AM Meet at Chippewa Secondary School to load the buses
4:15 AM Depart school towards NYC
11:30AM Stop for lunch along the way
3:00PM Check into hotel and freshen up
3:30PM Transfer to NYC
4:00PM  Explore unique pieces at the Museum of Modern Art during a self guided tour.
5:30PM Enjoy a Midtown Manhattan walking tour including Times Square, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Grand Central Station with the Whispering Gallery, and more! Your Evolve Tours director will teach you about the rich history of this amazing city through its landmarks.
7:00 PM Enjoy a group welcome dinner.
8:00 PM Enjoy a live Broadway show for the night: Frozen!
 9:00 PM Head to the hotel to check-in and rest after a busy first day.

Day 2:

Central Park & New York City Ballet
7:30 AM Enjoy breakfast as a group at the hotel.
8:30AM Transfer to NYC
9:00AM Depart on a walking tour of Central Park led by your Evolve Tours Director. Visit the Mall, the Alice in Wonderland Statue, Bethesda Terrace and continue through to Strawberry Fields, John Lennon’s memorial, and The Dakota on the Upper West Side.
11:00AM Free time for shopping and lunch at 5th.
12:15PM Stop by the 9/11 memorial
12:30PM Head down to the Statue of Liberty Ferry to Liberty Island. Pass by Ellis Island and learn about the immigrant inspection station that oversaw the entry of over 12 million new inhabitants to the United States at the turn of the 20th century
2:30PM Exploration of Liberty Island to see the statue up close.
3:00 PM Meet as a group and depart.
3:30 PM Arrive at the New York City Ballet for a workshop involving meeting an NYCB dancer and being immersed into life at the David H. Koch Theatre.
3:30PM Music students depart for Madison Square Garden Arena tour.
5:30 PM Dinner as a group before the performance.
7:00 PM Enjoy a performance at the New York City Ballet, which could be a performance focused on Balanchine’s choreography, known as the father of American ballet, depending on 2020 schedule.
7:00PM Music students attend a live performance of Blue Man Group or similar (depending on 2020 schedule)
9:00 PM Return to the hotel.

Day 3:

Midtown Manhattan, Radio City Music Hall & Broadway Class and Show
7:30 AM Enjoy breakfast as a group at the hotel.
9:00AM Check out of hotel and depart for NYC
9:30AM Arrive at the MET for a self-guided tour
10:30AM Depart the MET for Radio City
11:00 AM Partake in a guided tour of Radio City Music Hall, and learn about this mighty cultural center, first opened in 1932 as a project of revitalization and razzle dazzle for the American theatre industry.
12:30 PM Free time and lunch in Grand Central Station.
1:30 PM Make our way to Times Square: we will have time to shop, explore, and enjoy the bright lights.
3:00 PM Head to Step by Step Broadway for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to complete a dance class with a Broadway performer, which may include routines from the show the group will be seeing that very night! Alternatively, do a mock audition covering a range of styles, including hip hop, tap, ballet or modern.
3:00PM Music students head to Carnegie Hall for a guided tour and music lesson.
6:00 PM Classic NYC pizza dinner
7:30 PM Journey to the Top of the Rock for unparalleled panoramic views of New York lit up at night.
10:00 PM Depart New York and start our journey back to Chippewa Secondary School.

Day 4:

Arrive Home
7:00 AM Approximate arrival back at Chippewa Secondary School.
