Daily Itinerary

Day 1 - Travel to Kenya

Board our overnight flight to Kenya, stop(s) en route. Begin our Kenya High School Trip!

Day 2 - Arrive in Nairobi

Transfer to our local accommodation where we will spend our first night.

Day 3 - Arrive at Wilderness Camp

Arrive at our Wilderness Camp, passing through Kikuyu villages, small farms and roads running close to Mount Kenya with its high altitude glaciers. We will stay in a dedicated wilderness camp situated on a conservancy. After a program brief and orientation, we will take a short walk to visit our neighbors.

Days 4 - 6 - Community Service

Walk to a local primary school near our Wilderness Camp. We will be working for a few days with local children developing the school and orphanage infrastructure and learning about growing up in Kenya and experiencing life as as a student there.

Day 7 - Safari Day

Today we will have a full day of wildlife safari in one of Laikipia’s huge wildlife sanctuaries. Hopefully we will see the “big five” and will come face to face with an African elephant and a myriad of other animals!

Days 8 - 9 - Laikipia Bike Trek

Our morning will begin by bicycling into the Laikipia heartland, viewing the wonderful people on the way. It may also be your first opportunity to glimpse moran – a Maasai warrior. We will spend the next 2 days cycling through wilderness areas and fly camping at night.

Day 10 - Maasai Interactions & Flower Market.

Visit a manyatta (Maasai homestead), learn the Maasai way of life by trying out their hunting methods and local bush skills: lighting a fire with sticks and spear throwing. In the afternoon, we will have a cultural visit to a local flower farm that grows roses for export to the EU. The flower farm employs hundreds of Kenyans. Visit the bustling Nanyuki market to end our day.

Day 11 - Safari Day #2

Today is our second full day wildlife safari in one of Laikipia’s huge wildlife sanctuaries. Return to our eco lodge for a final dinner and celebration.
